Seriously, Jet Lag: Babbling and Sleep

This is an entry to do with lack of sleep, dreaming that our PO came to Melbourne instead of calling and to explain why I'm blogging instead of working on my thesis--readers looking for an entry of substance beware.
The arranged phone call session with the PO didn't go so well today, only because she wasn't able to get through until 10 minutes before she had something else equally as important to do at the office. Something having to do with not dialing the last four numbers of our phone number. (insert shoulder shrug here)

See, this whole 16 hour time difference AND having acute jet lag from crossing 4 times zones between Thailand and the eastern coast of Australia just isn't working in our favour. With the new Daylight Times Savings time switch, there is hardly a good time to call here. Either we have to be called first thing in the morning east coast America time, say before 8:00am-ish, or the very last thing of the work day, as in 5:30pm. Parents don't mind having to deal with time contrainsts, as they will call their children when ever they need to, but having strangers stay past the time they actually need to stay at work because I happen to live in 50 million time zones away feels inappropriate to me. That's they I told our PO 4:00pm-5:00pm would be a good time, that's 8am-9am in the morning the next day.

We woke up at 6:45 this morning, and that's with not having been able to go to bed at a decent time last night because of jet lag, dreaming I was a character in Lost and waking up every every hour and 30 minutes to flip open the laptop in bed between us to see if our PO had written to actually confirm the fact she would call us today.

Well, Will went to school at 9:30, a few minutes after the PO called to say she would be calling us tonight (our time), and I set the alarm for 10:20 and went back to sleep. I thought I would be fresh and ready to start working on my theses, but as you can see, I'm on Blogger instead of at Microsoft Word.
